Abstract
Background: Covid-19 is considered primarily a respiratory virus, but recent case reports indicate multiple other systems can be affected. Case Report: In this case series we describe three patients who presented with syncope and palpitations and were found to have three distinct arrhythmias: complete heart block, atrial fibrillation, and ventricular trigeminy, without elevation of cardiac biomarkers. This has implications for the evaluation of cardiac arrhythmias in the hospital setting, as arrhythmia is not often thought to be the presenting symptom of a viral infection. Conclusion: These cases underscore the need for a high level of suspicion for COVID-19 in patients presenting with cardiac symptoms.  More studies are warranted describing the effects of the virus on the cardiac system.
