Abstract
Kaposi’s sarcoma has emerged from its relative anonymity and is seen more commonly in association with AIDS today. In India, it is a rare condition with very few incidences being reported. A 52 year old heterosexual Human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) positive man presented with multiple painful swellings over the chest and leg with tuberculous lymphadenopathy. Biopsy and immunohistochemistry revealed Kaposi’s sarcoma. The patient was treated with antiretroviral therapy with boosted protease inhibitor regimen, systemic chemotherapy and cryotherapy. He responded remarkably to the treatment with regression of the lesions and improvement of CD4 count.
