Introduction: The purpose of this case series is to emphasize ocular rosacea as one of the causes of recurrent corneal ulcer that was often overlooked by ophthalmologists. Case Report: Two cases of ocular rosacea were diagnosed in 2013-14 in Infection and Immunology division, Department of Ophthalmology Cipto Mangunkusumo Hospital, Jakarta. First case was 34 years old male who presented with multiple corneal ulcers on both eyes and epithelized right corneal ulcer, and severe case of acne. He had history of recurrent red eye since last 10 years. His initial response with doxycycline was satisfactory but subsequently developed recurrent episodes on cessation of treatment, and again responded with reestablishment of doxycycline treatment. Second case was female, 14 years old female who presented with redness of chin, cheeks and nose since last 10 months and right corneal ulcer along with recurrent redness of right eye since last 3 months. She responded to oral doxycycline, topical steroid and antibiotic therapy. Conclusion: The correct and early diagnosis of ocular rosacea will allow better and prompt treatment, as well as a better chance to educate patient about the disease recurrence nature, protecting patient from devastating complication that might cause loss of vision.
