Abstract
Background
: Asystole i.e. cardiac standstill is a state with no cardiac output and no ventricular depolarization. It eventually occurs in all dying patients.
Case Report

Conclusion
: Use of a pacemaker in patients with high-grade heart block or sinus arrest can prevent primary asystole.
